Keith_RenaNovember 2 - Session 1: Research on Collaborative Learning. Rena Pallof and Keith Pratt, authors of Collaborating Online:  Learning Together in Community, will discuss best practices in teaching students how to work in teams/groups. How to set expectations for students about team/group work in an educational system where we are usually taught to work as individuals and working together has often been discouraged. Participants will be given a collaborative learning exercise to complete before the end of the seminar series.

Rita-Marie Conrad, a faculty member in the college of education at Florida State University, will talk about how she uses collaboration as a learning tool in her courses.
